As a couple more of the Chinese House Churches receive their care packages receive their packages we continue to receive messages from them and when speaking to them we can’t imagine what they are going through yet still showing how thankful they are of the American Churches selflessness and willingness to help their long distance brothers and sisters in need. Something to remember is that one of the best opportunities to model your faith to someone you are discipling is by showing them in action how to respond when the going gets tough. The Chinese Church is watching our response and example.
We have been very thankful to all those that are still in the fight with us. Yes, we are just a little startup Mission organization, a David vs. Goliath story. However, I hate to tell you a dirty little secret about the “Big” mission organizations. This is not to say there are not a few serving for these organizations that are actually doing good honest work where God called them to be but it is extremely difficult to do so in a big Mission organization. The truth is that if you aren’t told what to do and how to serve by someone appointed in a position over you, most are in it to continue to enrich themselves and their families for selfish reasons, not serving Christ. It is also so easy to give the appearance you are doing something for Christ when you live in a beautiful palatial house, have a maid, drink Starbucks multiple times a week, eat out at fancy restaurants all the time, and be sure to make your scheduled appearances to natives you are “working” with for a photo op or to share some great news for your report to the boss about how “God” is working. Of course it is easy to do that when you treat it like a paid secular job. You are receiving a huge salary, rent paid, full medical and dental plan, reimbursement for almost every expense, and free everything for your children and all you need to do is put on a show that you are doing “Church or Missions work”. This all paid and provided for by precious saints who are working their fingers to the bone 9-5 to support “Missions”. This is real life and unfortunately I hate to tell people about the hypocrisy we have seen over the years from so called “Mission organizations”. We have been attacked more than once for try to speak against these evil practices because we were viewed as a threat to the status quo. Let us reassure you that you will never find hypocritical Missions work from us. We want to become a threat to these hypocritical and apathetic Missions organizations. Why? Because maybe then they will do some soul searching and get focused on their purpose and what this life is supposed to really be about. Be assured that any support to the Missionhog will go to making a real Spirit led impact for the sake of the gospel. The choice is yours. Join with us to create a great and powerful movement to turn this world upside down again for the gospel. No more compromise!
“And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;” (Acts 17:6, KJV)
We have quite a few exciting projects going on at the moment. Please pray for our continued outreach partnership to evangelize in disadvantaged neighborhoods where Churches won’t go visit. Isn’t it a shame that Churches across town aren’t all doing this on a regular basis? I remember hearing an example not long ago. The Church is like a football game. You got 11 people working hard, fighting the battle to win against the enemy. Yet you have 50,000 sitting around watching and cheering you on. The 11 on the field are tired, weary, and need rest and recovery from all the hard work they are doing and the ones that could actually use some exercise to get stronger and get in shape are not willing to participate and just want to spectate. We want to thank these Chinese Pastors and continue to pray for them. Some of them Pastor multiple Churches at the same time. Some even in different cities. Yes, you heard that right. Many pastors in China have more than one Church to pastor and sometimes they are in different locations. They have a huge burden to bear and need our prayers and support. We have been asked before if these Pastor’s would receive a love offering to help treat them and their family to a meal or something like this. The answer is YES!, we do the same thing ourselves to bless them from time to time. There are convenient ways to send money to them directly through phone apps which would be considered like a type of Paypal in China. Most things today in China run off of and only accept digital currency and some places won’t accept cash anymore. If you would like to support the Missionhog to get out more care packages to Chinese House Churches or in any other way we need resources immediately. In Jesus name! Praise be to Him alone.
